Said they had a few hits and landed a 23" keeper. | I've been reading alot of minnesota reports and ive noticed they have a different type of creel limit/keeper size. They can only keep fish that are 15-18inches(or something like that) and must release the bigger or smaller ones. Anything bigger would be a female or male that is capable of surviving in the lake and anything smaller is just a newborn and is starting to reproduce. Instead of frequently stocking walleye and keeping the healthy ones(18+'') we should change some lakes into natural reproducing lakes by replicating our rules and regulations to those of minnesotas, the dakotas, wisconsin. Ive noticed theyre stocking walleye in a few new lakes this year so its kinda like what theyre doing with trout. Keep stocking til we can get a stable population. _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |

Earlier this year in January when water temps were warm and no ice was there, I hit a 1 1/2 pound brown and a few yellows.
Trout would probably be the primary species right now with an occasional walleye and perch. Smallmouths have gone deep now. |
