Hi,
No one is bashing "Blain"
Didn't even mention his name.
I just indicated that IS will ban others postings that promote other gear which does not pay to advertise on IS.
Next time read the post before jumping to conclusions !

AmericanFishingContests.com has added my logo to their "Find Contests" page (on the left column) and has also added my logo/event to their Facebook page!

Hi,
Doesn't matter who he was responding to !
I gave you the answer you where looking for, after you asked a reasonable legitimate question about IS .
In "No Way" did you bash Blain !
Amotha jumped to conclusions without taking the time to really read the post you made !

As a forum owner myself I'm sad to say its most likely true that it was deleted due to not paying for advertising. I have about 13 paid advertisers but get people on about every week trying to push their product for free. It wouldn't be fair to let that happen and running these forums isn't cheap by any means especially when the forums get big. You should have been contacted immediately telling you why though as my mods and I do and then give them the link to the advertising page and prices to see if its something they are interested in. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

I wasn't trying to push my product....I was just announcing the upcoming ice derby for the general public. Ah well - I can't expect everyone to appreciate what other people try to do - I guess appreciation is an element you have to pay for nowadays.
Moving right along... |

Usually when people post a tournement or derby where you pay to play, they post the prizes or estimated % of payback.
They state exactly where the rest of the money is going to.
Simple rules
How to sign up / if there is pre registration only
If its a site tournement (or club) only
BTW if blaine is the guy i met last year at a fishing derby type deal where just about no one caught fish THEN he seems like a decent guy, in person that is.
If a person is making money off a tourney, not anglers, I mean a person holding it and a forum makes them pay or allows sponcors to post their tounreys IMO thats fine.
If the money is going to charity or is 100% payback then ALL forums should allow it to be posted on their site.
If i missed any thing let me know.
oh and thanks for reminding me about ice shanty, this is a good time to go check the site out as we near winter / maybe ice. _________________

Hi,
If we don't get ice well over 4 inches thick for the tournament (Safety reasons), then we may not have any choice but to fish a .............

I tried to announce the upcoming derby I have dated for February 24 on ctfishfinder.com - I was accused of having a BS posting and totally disrespected...I then found my posting and my reply to him was deleted.
What the hell is wrong with people these days? Is it something in the drinking water?!
I don't care what MY intention is of this derby I am coordinating, people can still fish it and win money and/or prizes - isn't that the whole idea?
Unreal....

on a positive note...
I sent an email to the manufacturer who is able to produce my prototype and told him about my fundraising event to do this - here is his response:
"Hi Bruce, Thanks for the update. We are ready to build the prototype as soon as funding permits. I am impressed with your creative funding idea."
So let's make this happen guys! - Get the word out and tell them there's a 50/50 payout (half of the Entry Fees received) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places! There may be prizes as well!
