Fished the CT River Saturday out of Salmon Cove. I was windy as hell and the temperature was dropping. Sat at home for an hour beforehand telling myself it was too windy with a high pressure system moving in. Didn't listen to my own good advice. Spent a few hours in the canal with some perch and calicos. Battled to put my boat back on the trailer. Did get some great reports from guys fishing stripers on the Housie though. May have to put in over there next weekend if the weather is OK.

I'm thinking of trying to get out, tomorrow. Hopefully, it won't be too bad out there.

TurtleKiss (aka Kira) and I got freeze dried by the wind, today, but caught a bunch of fish. I had a really crappie day, if you know what I mean. Wink I also caught a couple of dinky yellow perch and an 11 inch largemouth bass. Kira matched my 11 inch largemouth bass with one of her own and caught the fish of the day on the last cast of the day, which was a 29 inch, five pound northern pike. I'm too tired to post a report now, but I'll do it later.
