Took my Wife and Kid up to Mashapaug and Bigelow for some hiking and fishing.... mashapaug was really low, some people were fishing from the shore... we walked around that for a while... then went to Bigelow , fished a couple of spots, ended up at the handi cap dock I was just throwing a rapala ssr-5 pumpkinseed color and I caught a trout!! I was surprised given that it was at 2:30 in the afternoon.
my kid showed me how to post picture.. anyway, trout is about 8 or 9 inches long and hit right at the surface as I was just about reeled in. I was using my shimano R-1000 with 6lb test. Bigelow is open until end of february. I was really nice up there, great day for walk and spend with family. |
