Forgive me for what may be viewed as a stupid question, but I almost never fish saltwater and have never seen a shrimp. But what can that thing do to you? _________________ The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best |

Its true that our local mantis shrimp can inflict a painful injury. I don't know how a fish tolerates them in their mouth or stomach. |

I've seen tropical mantis shrimp in fish tanks before and they are very big. I guess there is a big difference in size between the tropicals and the ones found up here.
Cool video Wade. That is a tropical mantis shrimp. |
