| What St Croix series? Premier? Triumph? Sounds like a good buy no matter what the series. You can certainly "use" any rod you want in saltwater, just a good idea to rinse it off with the hose after you use it. I use a Premier 7' MF for light saltwater stuff. Great rod for 4" swim shad, sluggos, smaller bucktails, rapalas, etc. Caught plenty of decent stripers, blues, and albies on mine. |

| There is an intercostal series that has stainless steel guides on it. If you rinse it off it should not be to bad. There are huge diffrences in the series. The avid being the middle of the road. I like avids just fine and can usually get them for about 99.99. |

I bought it at the consignment store, they still have a bunch left. It located on Silas deane highway, across red lobster.

what is a pro glass? there is a medium speed rod that is made from glass but that is not a series as far as i know. By no means am i a st croix expert but i have a few and i spend a lot of time in the catilog.
thes are the ones i found on the net and have never fished them.

| Yeah definitely not a current line. I'm sure it's a great rod if it fits the style of fishing you're doing. Might be good for fluke/porgies/etc if it's a casting rod. |
