Hi,

Lost power from 5:00 PM to Midnight.

Cranked up the Honda EB6500 generator my classmate gave me last year. Thumbs Up

Thank You "Bill" -> Will need to have a transfer switch installed.

Hope everyone emerged safe and with homes, etc. intact. We got some wind and rain, lost power for a few hours, but not much else. Last year's storms had already knocked down the dead wood, so not much in the way of yard cleanup either. Very Happy

We never ended up losing power but the shoreline got hit much worse than we did. Hope everyone is OK today!

I feel so sorry for those Queens residents! It looked like a missile hit the area or a monstrous tornado tore it apart!

Video of the fire looked like a wild fire happening in the area!

Lost power at 9 and got it back at 5:30 today. Not bad, just about 8 gallons of gas.

Sandy lived up to her Frankenstorm nickname. My brother's girlfriend's place south of Atlantic City is likely gone. Last she heard, the windows had blown in and water was almost up to the ceiling. They still aren't allowed in. NY/NJ got absolutely hammered. Watching the reports from NYC. Subways, tunnels, airports, commuter rail all shut down for days if not longer. My brother is "stuck" in Paris (Don't worry, our tax $$ are paying, he's an air marshal). Hope everyone is safe and under roof!

Hi,

We can count our blessings, here in NW Conectticut, that we dodged the bullet by a hair ! Shocked

"Sandy's" last hours over the ocean and turn from NNW to NW plus accelerated forward speed caused some open bands of less intense Wx for us to be subjected to even though we where on the worst side of the storm.

The devestation "Sandy" has caused is mind boggling and is causing more further west Exclamation .
It's going to take a long long time to recover from this storm !

My cousin "Michael" out on Long Island said his area near Glen Head, NY looks like it got carpet bombed. Had a tree come through a window.
Luckly he and all the family are well !

Video of a person driving along Fairfield Beach Rd not far from Reef Rd. Some of you will recognize the houses.
