High tide for Bridgeport was scheduled for 1:53pm and hadn't been down to Seaside Park in about a week so I decided to catch the high tide Thursday.

First stop was Remington around 1:30pm and conditions were temps in the 60s, steady 10 to 15 mph SE wind, and partly cloudy skies. Lures I threw included original pearl shad Flat Rap FLR-10, purpledescent Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, chrome Skitter Pop SP-9, flake purple ghost Max Rap MXR-15, spotted minnow Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, purple gold Clackin Rap CNR-7, and glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-12.

Schools of snappers would occasionally follow the FLR-10 and had no other hits or followers on any lures. Other fishermen weren't catching anything with chunks. The water wasn't running at the discharge either.

Later I headed over to the cannon. It had gotten windier and winds had shifted to the SW by that time. While standing on the rocks at the cannon, it was very choppy to my right while calmer in the harbor.

First cast out with the FLR-10 at the cannon and I see a fish following it. Another 2 or 3 casts later and another fish of the same size hit it. Seemed like there was a small school of either taylors or schoolies cruising along the shore. Kept on casting and later landed a 14" schoolie. Another 5 to 10 casts later and fish on. Lost a bigger schoolie that looked like one of those 20" 6 pounders that I got from the yak. After that nothing else was happening.

Casted from the sandbar in towards the harbor with no luck.

Went to the old beach by Remington and threw the FLR-10 and SP-9 with no luck.

Went back over to Remington to see 3 others casting with plugs, topwaters, and soft plastics. Those fishermen and myself weren't into anything.

Hit the road around 5:30pm.

That schoolie was my first catch at Seaside since August even though I was catching many snappers in September.
