I fished Spring Pond from 12:45 pm to 3:30 pm. The air was cool and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The wind blew fairly steadily out of the north-northwest at five to 10 miles per hour. The water temperature was 57 degrees and the water was murky; I could see down only 1-1/2 feet. I launched in The Other Woman on the west shore of the south cove. I spend the first 15 minutes trying to spot a fish in the water or any activity on the surface. When I got to the southwest corner, I finally saw a splash and threw a wacky rigged green pumpkin/red flake five inch Senko at it. The Senko was picked up off of the bottom by a short largemouth bass:

For the next 2-1/2 hours, I tried trolling a Perch Rapala Shallow Shad Rap SSR07, a Perch Rapala Jointed Shad Rap JSR07 and a Silver Shad Rapala Jointed Shad Rap JSR07, throwing the wacky Senko and various spinnerbaits, and dragging an Olive River2Sea Dahlberg Clackin' Crayfish over the bottom. I also tried throwing a Bullfrog Zoom Horny Toad over shallow weedbeds and my crappie rig, which is a Pearl Silver 2-1/2 inch Gulp! Minnow on a 1/16 ounce round jighead suspended under a bobber. Unfortunately, I got nothing other than a small yellow perch that hit the trolled Perch JSR07 and spit it three feet from the boat. I'm really starting to hate murky water! Confused

PECo have you had any luck with that Dahlberg Clackin' Crayfish? I tried one when I was up at Lake George and it didn't produce. At the same time I would rig up my kids pole with a broken off piece of a Senko on a drop shot and they would be pulling in smallmouth! I have tried the Clackin' Crayfish several times with poor results, just wondering how productive it's been for you?

They sure look enticing in the videos I have seen. Another lure designed to catch fisherman! LOL
