I'm a believer in "you get what you pay for". If you fish frequently and put alot of stress on your gear, then get better gear. Doesn't mean that you have to get super expensive stuff, but don't expect to get high performance from budget gear. This is coming from a budget minded person!! I ALWAYS look for deals and sales when possible.
