Just a heads up for anyone planning in fishing Candy. Infor came directly from DEEP at a tourney I fished yesterday.

Besides the recent draw down Candlewood is experiencing making launching at Latins Cove very difficult the lake is going to be drawn down an additional "15" FEET this week in order for First Light Power to connect the new pipe to the power plant.

Once the draw down is complete you will be able to walk to the no wake buoy's.

Squanz will still be launch-able

rainbow resevoir was drained too, you could walk to the end of the boat launch and then 30+ feet to closest water. Couldnt actually get to the water because I would of probably slipped down the dirt that slopes down 30 degrees into the water. Definitely a good time to find structure if you are a shore fisherman at rainbow resevoir.

could be from shore? -- but when i was there 2 weeks ago launching a boat WAS TOUGH! - the draw down could make it impossible! - and for those of us who fish it in the fall by boat - it is a time of year when the fishing for all SPECIES is really GREAT! and sadly this is a go to spot for me in the fall! -- oh well!

I had heard that later this year they would drop the water again to kill of the weeds since they were so bad this year because of the warm winter last year.

I had a tough time launching with a little 14 foot boat a couple weeks ago. I'm glad you posted it's going down more because I was just waiting for another good Saturday to get out one more time. If it's drawn down more I guess I'm done unless they plan to raise it back up? Anybody know?

I saw posted that Candlewood was going to be drawdown. Does anyone know if you can still launch a boat at Squanz Cove boat ramp still.
Hoping to go friday but its a long drive if for nothing.

I have a couple days off next week but if I don't hear something in here I'll take a ride up there on the weekend just to look and will post back. If it's too low I'll make my last trip of the season some place else.
