I fished the lower river on Thursday primarily for bluefish but also did some crabbing. I found bunker near the Railroad Bridge and livelined a few while drifting under the western most bridge section. I picked up two blues between 8 and ten lbs. Then I found a school of small blues down near the eastern river mouth and managed a few on my flyrod. I went back up to the LT. River by the DEP docks and caught 12 blue crabs. The bluefish will hit the smoker and the crabs....well they're already gone.

I'm still waiting for these bunker to head back into the Sound to local reefs, flats, and deeper shorelines.
