Hey everyone! This is my first post on the forum Very Happy
Just wanted to let those interested Catfishing that we have been doing very well with large Channel Cats for the last month and it's getting better!

We have caught fish over 10 lbs. from land and boat during the daytime! The biggest ones have been slamming large LIVE sunnies!

drifting the cutbacks where there is deep 25-30 ft of water near shore, weight on the bottom and sunnie about 20'' above on a dropper loop, circle hook just behind the dorsal.
You may get a nice smallmouth or three with this method too Rolling Eyes

ooops can't post pics yet , it's my first post

so imagine a 13 lb cat and a 5 lb smallie Cool

The bait is moving in now, been seeing alot the last few times out, trapping the bait never really works for me in the river, i prefer catching them on sabiki rigs baited with bread dough or small worms like waxies, when/where it is readily available -Dan

Wow, live sunnies! I thought it was mostly only flatheads that would hit those!
