I remember somebody once posting something like this.

Tuesday while fishing at Seaside Park and was catching snapper blues, one I landed had 2 of some sort of worm attached to it and saw what looked like blood being sucked.

What worm specie was it? How long has this been going on with blues and other fish? Any other reports about it this year?

I have seen worms on Cod and Haddock when I have fished for them. It is not an issue eating the fish some people just don't like seeing them on the fish. I'm guessing blues probably have the same or similar worms.

Good article, Phil! I forgot to mention that the worms are safe to eat as long as it is cooked properly and/or frozen. They just add extra protein Very Happy

Very informative and clear report. I remember catching small cod in New Hampshire many years ago and virtually every one of them were loaded with worms.
