Nice fish! Looks like it's time I start hitting the CT River again. Love fall pike fishing! What were you fishing with? _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Nice pike..> Ive noticed a quick pickup in large pike since the weather has been cooling off at night.. My buddy landed a 30" at the mattabessett river last week. and we had a few monster break off's along with some followers trying to take spoons out of eachothers mouths... good action out there,, And with all this wonderful cool weather coming in, makes for a enjoyable day on the water regardless... |

I'll post a report, later, but mep21 (aka Mark) and I caught at least a dozen northern pike on the river, yesterday. The standard size was 26 inches. The lunker was 38 inches, but NOT as chunky as Gary's:
It weighed 10-3/4 pounds. However, Mark hooked into and lost one that was definitely over 40 inches, although it was skinnier than the 38 incher. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
