I went out to Charles island sand bar today but no luck. One guy catching snappers said a guy caught a 20+ inch blue on a 2lb test line with ultra light setup. Said it took him a while to get it. I caught a sea robin and a snapper.

To anyone willing to make the trip, hit the RI shore around the breachways. Was there last friday chunkin from about 130am to 7am. Bite stopped with the rise of the sun. But in the 4-5 hour period, there was consistent action. One rod only. Couldn't toss two, cuz I couldn't keep up. Ran out of bait in the first hour. Had to resort to slicin and dicin a bluefish.

Don't wanna tell you where exactly, because I'm headed back there this weekend with the crew. But to sum up the night, landed 20+ lost maybe a dozen and missed a few more.

Hell of a night...

Local fishing buddy sent me a text telling me he caught 8 10 to 13 pound gators Tuesday night. He didn't say where around here he caught them but did ask him. Bait was a combination of live and cut bunker and topwaters.
