Then how true is it that these CT guys get lots over 30" with their 9" black Slugos overnight in the spring and fall?
BTW- bluefish is my main concern | hahaha what ct guys?? I don't see any posts on here of 30 inch bass... And btw I'm not talking about spring and fall I'm talking about hot august in ct where acess on beaches is almost non existent....hahaha I wld stop fishing rapalas and start fishing ri | hahaha I guess I cld teach u the ropes in RI....but we camp tho:)
Whatever lures you have I'll take as long as you get me a hotel room along the ri coast. Deal or no deal? | _________________ when is it a bad time to go fishing??....never |

I'm not interested in camping on the beach or in the woods. I'm looking for a 5 star hotel with good room service and an excellent indoors seafood restaurant that specializes in local fresh catches, such as a steamed 3 pound lobsters. Plus, I'm hoping for a very comfy central air single suite with the perfect bed. |

If u were with my buddy and I last time u wldnt hav given a flying shit about where u were sleeping due to the amount bass that were breaking surface slaming bay ancovies on the flooding tide at our feet _________________ when is it a bad time to go fishing??....never |

Then I guess my best bet is to forget about where you fish in ri and just stick with catching bluefish, sea robins, and Penfield Reef keeper fluke with my Rapalas in CT
BTW- Taylor blues breaking the surface is what I'm more concerned about instead of a 30 pound striper on topwater. I'm Bluefish Buster not Striper Striker. |

As I said fisherman, I'm Bluefish Buster not Striper Striker. My prime fish to catch in freshwater or saltwater is bluefish. I'd rather have tons of topwater fun on my lighter action setup with taylors up to 6 pounds instead of catching a few 30 pound stripers in RI, LI, and MA.
The only time of the year when I concentrate on stripers is March, April, and May before the blues arrive. I love how aggressive the schoolies are compared to a lazy 30 pounder. I also enjoy ultra light schoolies up to 13" on the tidal area of the Pequonnock. I'd rather catch over 10 schoolies up to keeper size on smaller plugs instead of searching for 2 or 3 giants. |
