Fished Pattaganset after work for a few hours. I fished the lilypads for about 45 minutes without a sniff before I just started running the shoreline chucking my jig & pig! First bite of the day was in a small clump of grass & lilypads. That one went 3.0#. The next one came pretty quick from under a dock & went 2.0# After that the action slowed and in addition to the jig I tried a dropshot, swimbait and tube,..but there were no takers on anything. As the sun began to set I started running the shoreline some more witht he jig. Got bit off by something toothy ,...then misjudged the weight of about a 4lber and tried to swing it into the boat instead of netting it. My rod bowed way more than I thought and the fish hit the side of the boat, knocking the jig from it's mouth in the process!
A few casts later I got another chance and put the net under a fat little girl that went 5.25! Here's the 3 and the 5!
