Wednesday I hit the cannon at Seaside Park right around peak high tide. High for Bridgeport was scheduled for 3:26pm.

A few lures I played around with before getting into the snappers were a moss back shiner Clackin Minnow CNM-9, spotted minnow Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, purpledescent Clackin Rap CNR-8, shad Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, and chrome Skitter Pop SP-9. All never saw any signs of life. Only saw 1 sea robin landed by a chunker right near me.

Decided to switch over to my light action setup and go to town with my trusty glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-6. First cast out there I hit an 8" snapper. Had my usual snapper retrieve going.

After hitting 2 snappers there was a nice guy with his kids who seemed to not know much even though he had his license and likes fishing. He asked for help after him seeing me hit those 2 snappers quickly so I helped him out for a while with the right setup and him offering me some cash for a HJ-6 I had with me. Also taught him the special retrieve I have with the HJ-6.

By the time I was finished teaching him and still having to help him out with casting and retrieving, the tide was getting low enough for the snappers to turn off.

Continued fishing throughout the evening and hit a total of 12 snappers up to 10". Snappers weren't thick like last time at the sandbar facing in towards the harbor.

Also tried throwing the SXR-10 for about 45 minutes at Remington before calling it a night at 8:20pm.

During the time I was into the snappers, I saw others with the snapper poppers near me not getting into them like I was with the HJ-6. Had plenty of hits and misses too.

Birds were working just outside of the breakwater facing west and saw breaks out there with 3 boats. With the conditions of the tide at the time, I could have been into them if the city were to let people still fish out there.
