No, when it comes to black crappie and white perch, all that I care about is whether they're big enough to eat. Wink I didn't keep them, but they were. Very Happy

Nice report Phil! Hey how does the Nanofil compare with the mono and the P-line from your experience?

Nanofil casts further, but isn't as durable as either PowerPro braid or P-Line Fluoroclear. I got bit off by chain pickerel on my Nanofil setup three times! Confused I'm going to try one spool of the new green 17 pound test Nanofil (it used to be available only in white and up to 12 pound test), but have a feeling that PowerPro braid and P-Line Fluoroclear are really all that I need. I've tried Berkley Trilene XL mono, but can't stand the stretch.

That is a great trip for Rogers. Nice job Phil and Kira.

I haven't fished it in many years but I thanks to this report I think the yak is coming on vacation to Old Lyme next week.

Despite my aversion to daylight, heat & pleasure boaters, I'd like to go back to Rogers (during darker/cooler hours.) I threw everything but crankbaits...my main offerings were a drop shot, frog, spinnerbait and wacky senko. Very slow bite, but I can definitely imagine Rogers being productive under different conditions.
Always nice to fish with you, Phil!

I didn't know you had just gone to Rogers too. You should have told me when you went I can go down whenever. My aunt and uncle's cottage is in the cove on the southwest side. It forms a point next to a beach and has a large boulder in front.
