One of you guys who usually fishes the quarry should get a scale so you can break the state record! |

Yeah dan thats me in my canoe you see. Ive never seen you with your boat in there. When i fish for catfish I use either rotton squid or chicken gizzards. Ive caught a few bullheads that way but all of the big ones have been off senko worms being bobbed off the bottom. Also ive caught 6 snapping turtles this year usingthe rotton squid so be ready for one if you are bottom fishing with bait. |

I have only fished that place once in my boat. I think every time I fish from shore I see your canoe in there. I saw you on saturday. I was on shore only 2 fish though. One was another catfish! |

Is there a particular spot to fish here from shore? I fish with my 9 yr son and 11 yr old daughter and we are always looking for better fishing spots. The local spots we go are mostly sunnies, with a few trout and bass thrown in the mix. They'd love a chance to catch something else locally! |

The quarry has a decent amount of fishable shore but I have a feeling it will get better when the weeds die down. Other local spots I recommend are the Seymour reservoirs (in Oxford), Sochrins Pond, which is a kids park, Great Hill Reservoir on the rotary in Seymour, Toby's Pond, right down the street from the Quarry. I have caught bass from shore fairly regularly at all of these places. _________________ The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best |

All of the places sbehuniak09 listed are excellent places to fish from shore. Personally I have never had much luck and the seymour res. In my opinion if you just want them to catch some LMB go to Toby's Pond at sunrise. Every single time I go there at sunrise I catch anywhere between 5-15 LMB. Many of them are below 12 inches but I'm sure all your kids want to do is get some action. There is LMB, a guy told me about SMB being in their, yellow perch, and I caught this catfish minnow with my hands a few years back. I think it was a bullhead. |

Ticks and pissed off beavers! The ticks are stupid bad! Just a word of caution!
If ya wanna see a beaver smack it's tail thats the place to go. Just stand and fish on one of their huts! They get really upset. If I can dig up my video I'll post it. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |
