Hey guys I went to beseck lake saturday. I didn't have much action as far as bass goes. We ended up with a bunch of white perch and one pike heres the pike:
I had a couple hours to kill on friday so I hit up a local spot with little aluminum boat. I always seem to have steady action there. Very first cast is a cat fish!!! I didn't get a measurement on it but I did weigh it and it was spot on at 3lb. This fish was caught on a bass jig! Surprised the hell out of me I was expecting a decent sized bass. Ended with 10-12 bass. I have pictures from the quarry I will post when I get home from work today.

Dude, we were out all day, which boat were you in? Nice pike, what did you hit em on? We were out in the middle across from Rovers for about 4 hours hanging out. |

I left around 11:30-12:00. I was in about 10ft of water running a crankbait. |

Cool, we got on the water around 11. I can see our house in the background, so I pretty much know where you were LOL. |

That bullhead in that quarry seem to be extremely aggressive. I've caught them on a popper and spinner bait of all things. I would never imagine a catfish hitting either of those ever. I wish you got a measurement on it because I caught this catfish the other day off bobbing a senko worm on the bottom and was able to get a measurement but no weight and I'd really like to know how much it weighed. It was 20 inches so do you guys have any guesses on weight? I found a brownhead length to weight scale and that scale suggests it would be 5lbs+ which would be a state record.

I agree, this bullhead is much bigger than any bass I have caught there. Is that you in there with the canoe I see all the time? |

I think my bullhead from there was the biggest
One of us needs to put it on the map with the state record. _________________ The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best |

imagine if someone actually went there to target catfish? We have all caught them on bass lures. |
