Fished a tourney today. 5am to 11am.
Largest bag came from north of Rte 84. 9.5 Lbs using white spinner baits. The Pomperaug produced with creature baits.
I fished south near the dam and back to the launch. Top Water Spook was the only thing working that area and only in the bays. Picked up a 3.5 and 2.5 Largies behind the Zoar Diner at 8am. Nothing again until 10am when I picked up a 1.5lb smallie in the marina just south of the launch.
Broke the record for the smallest Large and Small Mouth Bass on a 5" Spook today. Both less that 2.5 inches in length. I guess they were bass in training. Forgot the phone in the car or I'd post a picture.
As stingy as Zoar can be not a bad say overall for a early tourney.
My partner caught lots and lots of 6/8" bass on Senkos today.
We just couldn't find the big ones and we hit almost every dock, marina and foot of shore on both sides of the river south. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |
