Ok this is my target next sunday morning and before I make the trip I was wondering what the reports were like there this year? I fished off shore a couple months back and didnt have much luck so I figured I would give it a shot with a boat?

I fished it about 2 weeks ago on one of those hot days we had.
It was tough fishing that day but my partner caught a weighed 5.5 pounder
on a spinnerbait middle of the day.
I caught around 7 or 8 but nothing over 3 pounds.
Most were in the 1 to 2 pound range.
That pond has some real big fish in it though. I have said before that I think
a new state record is in that pond. |

this is connected to hopeville which is connected to patchaug... so there's likely pike in there too. that reminds me i need to get down to hopeville to try to find that "secret" pike cove!

Ashland pond produced today 4 hrs pumpkin 5" senkos and a couple 3 pounders....great coves lots of topwater action as well frog was working well best turnout for me all year since buying the boat! Will post pics later

Yeah very nice spot... there are a few boats and jet skis there but if you work your way into the lillies and shallows there are some good fishing there.
