HIt up dog pond this am with my brother. Water is down there like a foot and its very weedy. Couldnt really do much but topwater. Got lots of hits on a spro frog but could only get one ok bass to the boat. Had a few hits on senko with small pickeral also. Brother got a decent bass on a buzzbait. We did get a couple nice big splashes on top. We did the whole pond pretty much and decided to go to tyler later in the morning.
Got there after 11 and stupid me didnt bring the rain gear so we saw some rain coming and stayed close. Got a small pickeral in the first cast and another couple hits. Rain was coming so we headed in and had lunch till it passed for a half hour or so. Back out and worked the shoreline. I got 3 or 4 more pickeral on a senko and a few hits on the frog. Brother got a couple pickeral. We were heading across the lake and got markings in 18 ft stacked up My brother trolled a phoebe and picked up a crappie. We drifted around there and i got something decent on a grub but lost it before we saw it good but possible another crappie. Then the rain started moving in big time so we had to call it a day a little before 2. Overall not too bad just wish the rain would have held off till later. |

Never been open water at Dog and Tyler but have always had a good time ice fishing those 2 places.
Good effort despite the rain |
