Fished Candy today from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Covered a lot of the lake. Caught something at almost every spot.

Top Water Spooks/Buzz Baits were out. Nothing at all.

Drop Shot with Robo Worms Blk/Blue, Aqua Glow Chart/Grape and Kitech Chart/Green were the key colors.

Parked the boat in 20 FOW and cast to shore. All fish caught on outside of weed line.

Almost all Smallies in the 2/3 Lb range. Couple dink Largeies but one Largie about 3 1/2 Lbs.

Overall a good day with about 15 fish in the boat. Lost several. Now if we can just do that during a tourny!!!!!!

If you know Candy "look at the boat location" in reference to the shore. There is a bit of distance. 100 feet or so. This theory "should" be the same on most lakes lakes for both small and large mouth.. Small fish on the inside line. Larger on the outside line.

I've been Bass Fishing for a number of years. This time of year we should be using big baits and banging Large Mouths closer to shore around structure! This year is just the opposite.

Several tourney's (Two at night Candy and East Twin) and a number of days on the water Smallies are filling the bags.

To me this is unusual.

Once this front passes by Saturday and with the new moon Top Water should be in full swing. Yesterday at 1:30pm the crescent moon was visible over the Candy Horizon.
