Interesting that we both heard the same thing about that place, supposedly my friend has caught a 6+ pounder in there (under a dock, he won’t say which dock though lol). I’m curious to find out what those spots are if you’re willing to share. Good luck tomorrow! _________________ PB's:

ok schoolhouse pond bust... but I am still at a loss for lures... I have tried jig/pig and a buzz bait and got nothing to report! I guess I have to break down and get some GY Senkos and give those a try because I am struggling right now...but I will give a report of my findings from Ashland pond in Griswold this Sunday.

I have been having good luck with texas rigged 4” zoom centipedes, AKA “french fries” (they look like crinkle cut French fries lol). My uncle gave me a bag and it’s the only thing that’s been working lately. I’ve been texas rigging them with a 2/0 or 3/0 ewg worm hook and fishing them slow just like you would a senko type worm. The bite is still slow but I was getting nothing at all with my trusty senko (well, YUM Dinger). Give it a shot… I’m not sure where he gets them but they definitely don’t have them at wal mart. Maybe Dick’s has them or something.
looks like basspro has them http://www.basspro.com/Zoom-Soft-Plastic-Bait-Salty-Centipede/product/7498/108053
the bag he gave me is my favorite senko color, watermelon red-flake. he prefers junebug _________________ PB's:

No doubt, you just have to keep at it. The heat hasn't really seemed to bother the bass at Beseck, we've been getting at least 4-5 each time we go out. We haven't spent a "whole" day yet, get's kind of crowded pretty early being a public lake and all. But we live there so there's plenty of time to enjoy. |

Throw smaller lures. I've been catching 3-5lb bass on 2'' twistertails. Of course youll get some small one but at least youll be catching fish! _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |
