Fished Hopeville Pond is Griswold today for the first time. Somewhat of a disappointing day. Got to the park at 9am and launched on their small narrow ramp (getting the boat back on the trailer was an adventure). Air temp was in the 70's and the wind eventually picked up from 8-10mph at times. Worked my way around pretty much the whole lake and managed 1 LMB all day which was actually a keeper 15" 2.5lber. At least I didn't get skunked but I was hoping for a lot more action. I threw mostly cranks, and some frogs over the pads. Looks like a nice camping spot though lol. Got off the water at 1pm and headed home. _________________ Steve |

Nope ..I do like how it's a very shallow lake. Theres not many places for them to hide...yet somehow I came up short. Oh well. I can't wait till fall fishing! _________________ Steve |
