Yep that looks about right for night fishing below Stevenson. There are some big eels and cats that cruise there at night. Were you on the side where the water was pumping out below the park or the other side? On the opposite side from where the water flows out there is a light that shines down on the water right on the edge of the dam and I've spent some time casting a dark colored senko into that area at night and have hooked some nice smallies.

I've never caught white catfish before. How aggressive are they compared to a channel and brown bullhead?

I catch a lot of channel cats down in VA and they are much more aggressive than the whites I've caught in CT. There was one particular tim e at Stevenson when I was fishing with alewives and the water was actually high and flowing pretty fast and the white cats were hitting pretty hard. It was later in the season though around september.

Here's a pic form that day:

I was hoping for some big trout...which is why I was making that face.

I'm not sure about the weight on the one from Stevenson. A couple pounds at least. Not to hijack this thread but I've landed some big cats on Lillinonah. Here are a couple:

The water was particularly low on that day. I was throwing shiners and alewives and had 3 rods...could barely keep up with how aggressive they were.
