Hit the West Haven pier across from Stowe's early Saturday morning (8:30 am tide). Got there about 6:45. Not much action for incoming tide, about a dozen sea robins (literally). Half hour after high tide hooked into a nice blue (about 9-10 lbs I'd guess). Caught another blue shortly afterward (1.5 lb tailor). Big blue threw up baby flat fish if that helps anyone fishing the area. I'd attach the pic if I knew how to! All fish caught on chunk mackerel on bottom hope it helps ya'll! |

Instead of the fish pic, I'd rather see a pic of your Fox Body 5.0!!! |

Haha my 5.0 is still a work in progress but when I figure out how to upload photos I will post both the fish and the car (89 LX 5.0 5 speed w 67000 miles). |

The Fox Body is my second most fav Mustang gen. My #1 most fav generation is the original 1964 1/2 to 1968.
I love how loud those 5.0's are on the exhaust! Pure Detroit!
Another car called the Fox Body that I love is the original Fox Body Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Those 86 - 88 Turbo Coupes with the 5 speed can hit a good note too! |

Tried the pier across from the bait shop this afternoon. Once again about 20 sea robins caught. I managed one tailor blue and lost another one. Did see many small schools of bunker being chased to the top by something. Tried casting plugs, top water baits, spoons and chunk bait into it with no hits. Uneventful day but enough to maybe get back there next weekend. |
