Paddled to the back pond throwing a frog & missing a few ......switched to a small black buzz bait & they were all over it. Nothing too big but the hits were crazy. Only one other boat on the water. |

Thinking of hitting black this week. Havent been there in a while and a buddy reminded me of it yesterday. There's big bass there, and some holdover trout....problem is finding them. Be persistent. _________________ Dave..... I can be a pain in the bass. |

Fished Black Pond a couple of times in the past week. Some decent bass, nothing huge, from the middle of the day through the evening. Fished almost exclusively Zoom frogs off the pads. Went a couple of times with my buddy John as well as a few trips with the kids. They like to paddle more than fish. Couple of pics from the daytime.
Gemma with a nice little bass. If I'd been out there on my boat without the kids I would have broken out the fly rod for these small bass. They were launching themselves at dragonflies.
Decent fish that felt twice as big with all the weeds and pads.
We think John has a nice bass on.
I'm telling him to just grab it! The thing is wrapped in a basketball of weeds.
Good thing he didn't try to lip it! That would have hurt. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Black Pond has your occasional lunker bass but most are the 12 -16 inch variety, but fun on light tackle.. I was there last monday and hit a number of small bass and a few skinny pickeral. Fish up near the backend of the pond , in the lily pads and and sticks ...you'll get bass. |
