Woohoo! I had my best day at quonni in several years! I took the afternoon off on vacation and hit the water right around 1PM. Dark and overcast with an on and off light breeze. My first fish came on a shakey worm and was about 8",.....that was the last time I touched the shakey worm on that day!
The rest of the day I fished jigs and swimbaits. When I packed it in at about 630 I had boated 14 bass total and only a couple were less than 2 lbs. Here's the pics of the best ones,..one of them is 4lbs even and the others are 3 and change!!

I tried your jig Nick,..it's okay but I'm actually into heavier weights. Most of the time I'm throwing 1-ounce jigs nowadays!! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Nice job. Those are some great looking fish. I thought about going to Quonnipaug the other day, but I never did very well there in the late summer. I may have to give it a shot now. Congrats. |

Nice Job Mark. You do know that place.
I went to Pattagansett yesterday from 4 to 6 pm. I guess I should have stayed local. Only three in two hours, all around 1 1/2.
