Fished every day this past week with my 4 yr old son and had a blast. We caught a little bit of everything from skate to shark a couple fluke and loads of porgy we were getting 2 porgy at a time nonstop on the double hook rigs during high tide. ONly caught 1 small striper was hoping for some more. BUt had alot of action and fishign was great. Even got a puffer fish wich was the coolest thing ever for him cause it was in 1 of his favorite movies finding Nemo. Had a great week now back to work very depressing weekends just arent enough. Good luck everybody

Were you fishing off the rocks, or out in the Cove/Bay? Sounds like you had a good time.

Great job getting your son out on the water and into fish. Jordan's cove is a great multi species area especially for a little guy.

Excellent decision and congrats on a great week!

Thanks guys, ive been taking him freshwater fishing since he was 2 fishing is all he ever wants to do. I fished right off the rocks most of the time. We took the boat out 1 day and fished a little bit and caught some porgy but all the other fish were off shore. Wanted to do more boat fishing but ive never boated the ocean and i just wasnt comfortable out there with him in our 14ft boat. Was alot of fun and i was suprised at all the different fish we caught

Which side of Jordon's cove were you at?
My husband and I went in on the Reed Street side where the little parking area is. We didn't catch any fish, but caught some huge blue crabs.
We were fishing out off the sand bar.
Missed high tide, but hope to get out there again the end of the week.

Dock rd think its the next road or 2 up from where you were. Out by the sandbar is ok fishign ive caught some smaller fluke right near there i nthe past fro mthe kayak. My son was playing with the crabs and he caught some nice blue crabs as well off the erocks we released the mall were just having fun. ITs really good fishign there good luck the next time you get out-the spots right next to pleasure beach and the boat launch-real early and high tide is great not many people either theres the rocks that go right next to boat launch where we were and then the point has a big posted sighn from the beach so we stayed off there but alot of people fished out there anyway and were catchign some godo fish-thing that bothered me is we were there about everyday for 7 days and alot of people leave there crap behind wich in the future will ruin these good spots for all of us-have fun
