Looking to go Batterson Park Pond next week and just wondering what bait you have had best luck with there. Not targeting any certain kind of fish and will be fishing from shore. Thank you for any help. |

all the same stuff your throwing now will work in every other body of water. if you want to stay away from sunnies then use shiners or crayfish. |

I used to live next to batt.....I used to toss smaller rapala stick baits, caught lots of fish that way there. Worms work good also, if just looking for fun. Perch,Crappie, blue gill and bass.... |

Went there today with 3 other guys (1 CTFT member) around 5:30p; we did some shore fishing (no boat yet ) with Senko's and Rapalas. All of us got skunked after 2.5 hours of fishing.
Fished by the rock (levee?), a few spots by Batterson Park Rd and along the shore closest to the beach. We wanted to try over by the boat launch but it got dark quick. |

Even though i've never tried it i've always said it must be really hard to fish this pond from shore. Covering a lot of ground while trolling is the best in my opinion. |
