| i love shad fishing but haven't been for the hickory. when do they start to run.. i am told its coming up in the next week??????????? |

The Niantic River used to be loaded with them. Haven't seen them around in any numbers for a couple of years now, hopefully this season will be better.
I think they used to start to arrive some time in July. |

| i fish the ct river and i here weatherfield cove is a hot spot. i would love to grab some and run to shore and live line if i can ever find a good spot down there for the big bass... i live in east hartford so i dont get to the shore much for them.. |

| ive fished them a few times in sept/oct in the niantic and did very well, probably 100 fish days, right near the blackhawk slip, shad darts and twister tails work well |

| i'm w persuader. the run out of the Niantic mouth is nuts. catch a few throw one on a live out into the mouths waiting in the mouth. Ont the outgoing tide in October or so |

| yea but they com up to the hartford area before that just not sure on the time they do it. |
