summanuh beach theres too much to read in this thread!!!
heres my fast one handed opinion
1 - lake x is lame because, if you are fishing locally (near me) i'd like to get out and do as well as u did on that lake.
2 - lake x is even more lame if its a private place and you're bragging
3 - lake x isnt too bad if you give a great description of how you are fishing. This is some times easier for guys on a boat with depth finder temp gauge etc
4 lake x isnt too bad because, usually its coming from a person who MOST likely doesnt even travel near or through my town
5 - really is the place you fish that small you cant tell us what lake it is
6 - it wouldnt matter if I used lake x or not because, 90% of the time i fish from shore, fish from places that you cannot use a boat AND most of you would have no idea where the place was by name unless u looked it up.
Most of the local guys know by name or from looking hard at the pics.
I'll try to stop being lazy and start putting some posts up.
I have been fishing on occasion using lefty.
ANY LOCAL GUYS WHO HAVE FOUND FISH LET ME KNOW TY.

A lake X report is better then most of the clutter that clogs up the "Reports" section 95% of the time. I take every report with a grain of salt. Im confident enough to not feel like I need guidance on the water. Fishing and catching is about adaptation and persitance. If what your throwing isnt working.....change it up. I throw what i throw and thats that. Put your time in fellas....its the only way to really learn. |

Hi perfect hook set,
Thanks for your response and opinions.
With all due respect deserved -> you do seem to have the touch of a "Will Rogers" or Samuel Clements (Mark Twain) in you
Having that ability to mix common sense, humor, and satire is a "Priceless" atribute ........ Never loose that
I applaude you Sir!
My best regards,

Hi,
Yes you do that a lot I've noticed!
Not like some that don't take the time to think but go off like a loaded gun indiscriminately.

LAKE X reports rule. i have spent tons of time in my life finding water that is not punished by other anglers. if you don't like lake x reports don't read them. if i go to candlewood or some other state park i would inform you. but you don't need to know i got a 6lber at a farm pond near my house. its not importaint where you catch a fish but HOW you catch along with conditions present at the time of the catch. go suck a fat one |

Hi,
Everything you said is true........EXCEPT for the reading of "Lake X" reports.
How can one know a post is a "Lake X" report if you don't open and read it 1st !
Some particular individuals here, proclaim they can do that!
I sure can't -> Wish I had that unique power they have to do that ! AMAZING

Hi hoppy,
Nah! ....You can use the English alphabet and even the Greek, Russian, or Chinese alphabet and it would all boil down (in my opinion) to the same thing ! LOL

so much drama over such a little thing .....1st of all we take the person at there word even if they give a name for the lake easy enough to claim they caught the fish at ANY lake they want......nice if you give the right name and a good report on the lake helps ppl like me keep record of lake conditions. _________________ I Love to fish......Not a big fan of sitting in the boat alone ....the Conversation and the company make it perfect |

Lake X reports are the worst when you read one you are included in and took someone to your new found honey hole and expect the favor to be treated as a privilege AND on top of that, is outted by others who also know the place and blab the name.
PEOPLE just dont listen and respect _________________ Thar aint NO fish in here !!!!!!!! |

Hi,
Well that's an interesting different twist (in my opinion) on why "Lake X" reports are not worth posting!
I'd call that "Bad Form" !
Ah! .. The "BIG TEASE" ....that's all a "Lake X" report (in my opinion) is !
People "will" try and hunt that place down !
Better (in my opinion) not to make such a post ever in the 1st place and give them any reason or incentive to do so!
Lake X should be your own "private -> keep it to yourself -> not posted" little secret!
Making such a report is opening the door for possible dissapointment by others you had put your trust in!
On the other hand -> fishing these days definitly depends on a fisherman's learned knowledge, gear, and techniques to catch fish!
So posting "Big Tease Lake X reports" (in my opinion) will always be totaly ridiculous and worthless

sharing is caring, many of you dont seem like you care =P
OM G you told someone about "my" spot SH!T now someone else will have fun and catch good fish too NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
..................
I believe if people are catching / releasing fish IDGAS who knows about lake x and spot y!
Besides on this site, I usually ask people if they keep fish or not before telling then what SPOT lake lure etc i used.
People would see me in a random place and tell me they seen my pic at a bait shop and wondered where i caught the fish..... _________________
