Fished at pennfield beach today for only about 30 minutes(4-4:30). I used a blue and white hair jig with a fake sandworm on the back. I spent 10 minutes trying to get a horse shoe crab to grab onto my lure but he seemed scared so i left him alone. After about 5 cast i got a nibble and set the hook. Pulled in what felt like a rock and found a pretty decent sized sea robin. Even though most people dont like these fish i find them to be awesome. I really wished my friends stayed for longer and fished but whatever it felt good to catch something! My dad wants to go saltwater fishing now so maybe ill get to go on a trip with my grandfathers boat and go fishing! _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |

If I end up not getting into any blues, and not even a striper or fluke, at least I can have some fun with sea robins. |
