Well that's the second time someone said to use Sea Foam. Never heard of it, but where is a good place to get it? I'd like to try this before I wrap her up for winter. I have to run it to drain the lines before winter, so might as well do this to.

Thanks much.

Most Auto Parts stores carry it.. Napa and Advanced carry it...

Hey guys,, I would first check for an air leak or the vent on your tank,, but I think your problem has to do with electrical,, you say your engine will start and idle but when you put a load on it,, it dies,,I would check your plugs,, power paks,, Have you ever had a spark moduel go on your car,, its fine when its cold but it dies when the car heats up,, thats what I would look at,, power packs like to go,,also when you do get it up and running it does not have the balls it use to have,,, RIGHT,,,,, its your moduels,, your best bet is to take it to somebody to look at,,,, if not look for the power packs on ebay for your engine,,, they are not cheap,,, but they are easy to put in,,, good luck my friend,,, JIM

Ok, thanks for the idea Jim. I'll look in our repair manual to see what they look like, then I'll check e-bay and Amazon for some pricing. Still gonna try Sea foam in the spring when get her ready to go out for the first time. Can't wait already.

seafoam is good in all engines 2 and 4 stroke, gas and diesel. It can be found at NAPA and Tractor Supply. I run it in just about anything i own that doesnt get used daily. you can make your own from household chemicals i have been told. I think ill stick with the stuff off the shelf!

Motor was running fine until last night, started chugging again at full throttle. Going to find some Sea Foam tomorrow, add enough gas to fill the tank and run it for a good amount of time. I'll post results.

Hi hila,

Seafoam makes a product called "Deep Creep" -> I spray a small bit down each carb throat and around the carb, it loosens anything that may be sticking!
Again -> good stuff !

Thanks SD, I only grabbed some regular Sea Foam for now. Going to throw in a good amount tonight, and run it for bit, then run it hard on the lake to see results. Let you know. Deep Creep might be another way to go if I'm unsuccessful.
