Just wondering if the fish are still around up there or if the warmer weather has pushed the majority back out or not. Gonna find out for myself next week, but any info would be greatly appreciated!

i got one in enfield 3 days ago 21 inches and released.. a day before that a guy caught a 35 inch keeper. so not sure if alot are around but theres some. id say by next week it will be over

By next week the middletown area will probably be best. Fish top water or bait fish with herring. They are going nuts with the herring in that area. Good luck

Water temp was 73 on the lower river yesterday,...as soon as the water gets past 70, it starts getting uncomfortable for the stripers in the river and they will all be on the move towards the salt. I'm not saying it'll be impossible to catch a striper,.. But it'll get noticeably worse each day from here. Also, I believe that the larger fish are the first ones to leave!

i caught an 18" schoolie today between the I-91 & RT.140 bridges.. they were attacking bait on the top under the bridge all day but i didnt throw anything of the sort at them as i wasnt striper fishing today.. caught some niiice smallies on x-raps tho!
