Caught this bullhead today at Maltby Lakes in West Haven. I know they have only recently been stocked and was concerned this might be something that will affect the entire population.
I don't know though, could just be something common.
Here are some pics....
Anything to be concerned about?
I let him go. Just cut the line close to his mouth and shoved him back in the water with my shoe. Didn't want to touch it.... |

I worked at a hatchery for a short stint. If the whole bunch was like that, the shipment probably wouldn't have been accepted. Sometimes weird, nasty stuff like that happens. Good call for not touching it though. |
