did you get anything over 4lbs?
I know there are a lot of fish in there, just all medium size and thin. I used to fish #3 exclusively and caught a lot at the mouth of the inlet. |

I was Maltby trying again today. Got a pickerel and a small bass (1-2lbs)
On my way put I came across a guy and girl fishing and they told me they caught some huge bass there. They say 6 or 7 pounders!!!! and she had pictures on her phone!!!
They were good bass but definitely not 6 lbs. Maybe the biggest was close to 5. Nice fish though. And he told me the place he got a couple nice ones and what he was using. I stopped there on my way out and got the 1-2 pounder.
At least I know there are 4-5lb bass in there... that have been caught!
I would rather get a boat at Salt around here but Maltby has really good shore fishing. |

I've seen the big ones at Maltby, just haven't gotten them to bite on anything.
We hit Salt on 6/9; was slower than the last time I went out. We pulled in 5 total bass between 16-18inches all on wacky and texas rigged senkos. |
