Salmon cove is a nice ez free launch. docks on both sides to help you with wind or strong current. Haddam can be a little more tricky.

Thanks guys !!! I usually go to haddam meadows or samon river cove ! Was looking to see if there was anything more in the Middletown area I live relatively close ( Meriden) and want to fish that part of the river with out having to drive all the way to haddam meadows then back up the river to Middletown ! Lots of wasted gas! Is there really no place Closer? thanks again guys I appreciate it

Same deal here. Live in Meriden, and like to fish the ct river in the spring and fall. Haddam and Salmon Cove are the closest public launches to middletown/matabaset river. There is a private owned$$ launch across the river in Portland. Never used it.
