Fished a local pond for about an hour today with my friend before it got too hot and I had to get off the water. My friend used about a million different lures and ended up with two large mouth probably 12 inches long. I wasn't there to see what he caught them on though. I threw my favorite bass lure, a silver original floating rapala the whole time and ended up with 5 large mouth. 4 of them were between 10 and 14 inches ( I didn't even bother measuring). But the one I did measure was the biggest i've gotten so far this year. It was 17 3/4 inches and weighed 3 pounds 10 ounces.

Ohhh yes it was! The kayak kept spinning around on me so it took a good 2-3 minutes just to pull her out and take all the weeds off. |

Nice fishin!! It is an effort to boat them in a yak when you're getting spun in circles. _________________ Dave..... I can be a pain in the bass. |

Bow...find an old paddle and cut it off six inches up the pole. Wrap it up like a hockey stick with some cord and then tape. It's great for one hand maneuvering while you're closing the deal with a fish, or just need a little boost. You can buy them....but thats no fun. _________________ Dave..... 17-3/4 inches and three pounds, 10 ounces. That's a chunk for a Connecticut largemouth bass. She must have begun her post spawn gorge. Nice fish! _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Yes very nice, it does take some practice in a yak in general. |
