My dad and I hit West Haven starting around 6:45pm and stayed til sunset.
Silversides were thick out there and the terns were going crazy on them.
Lures I tried throwing included 10cm original pearl shad Flat Rap, 3/4oz silver blue Krocodile, 9cm shad Shallow Shad Rap, 11cm bleeding pearl Jointed, 10cm blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap, and 13cm flake purple pearl Max Rap.
My dad and I both caught nothing and not a single hit. We were picking up lots of weeds, esp when one of those sort of currents came our way, which was carrying tons of weeds with lots of that foamy white stuff.
Saw 2 chunkers with a total of 2 taylors. Saw 1 guy land an 8 pound harbor while bouncing a Storm Shad on the bottom. |

8 lber aint bad, was it long and skinny or shorter and eating good.?

| Shorter and eating good. Some good girth to it as in height from belly to back, not chubbiness. |
