So the fire marshal was kind enough to make the ER I work at cut access through the jungle to the pond behind us. I've watched the bass for years back there, but there was no way to get through all the crap to the water. The gravel created about a 4 foot wall that the boys were slammin the bait fish against.

In between saving the drunken idiots, I spent about 20 minutes chucking a frog into the pads. 6 bass between 11/2 and 2 lbs, and 3 pickerel. The gals are bedded on the other side of the pond.

Nothing like scratchin up the thumb at work!!! I may not have gone back in, but the last sharptooth trashed my only frog. I'm launching the canoe here thursday evening.

It's a really good little pond. Almost never fished, and I havent seen anybody really work it ever. I cant break two pounds from this spot, but I havent gotten on it yet. I suspect I'll find the beds and that will change. I also have no idea about the depth. I'm hoping there's a deep hole out there harboring a lunk. Only draw back was the beat up thumb, which I cover in alcohol rub about 150 times a day.

Finding a gem of a fishing spot is worth a lot to me. Getting paid while you fish it.....priceless!!

If you were replying to my reply, I just edited it. I meant the third picture, not the second.

I knew exactly what you were referring to Mike. I figured it wasnt you standing by the water in scrubs when you should have been working.
