More like Wintergreen Aqua-Dump. What a freaking sty. Family obligation to "paddle Miss Daisy" (my sister) around Wintergreen this sunday. It's been years since I fished there, and didnt like it a bit then. Over fished, trash everywhere, and a complete free for all of lack of consideration for others. Beautiful morning, first out on the lake. Fished the whole perimeter with all my favorites for two 8" bass (she's like OH!!! They'll be good on the grill....Ahhh, NO! I'll buy you a fillet-o-fish on the way home!!) while "Daisy" trolled a night-crawler....dont ask! Wind picked up enough for a nice drift down the center. No action on jigs or deep lures, but we got 2 1lb channel cats on worms, which seemed odd. Then we went down to this corner and there was a "herd" of about 40 albino cats, looked about 26" 5lbs milling about in 7 feet of water. They investigated and ignored everything. So I load 3 crawlers on a 4/0 and they bump into it and run away in fear. Come to find out it was stocked a week ago with channels, and a bunch of big albinos. Must have been grain fed or something from a farm in Alabama. So at 1430 we decide my lilly white sister's face looks like a beet, and I head for the launch ramp. I come around the corner, and the bobber patrol is taking up every inch of land without trees. Sitting 3 deep in beach chairs on the ramp. 50 lines in the water, some old lady with a hook in her ear, blue juice jugs and channel cat carcasses floating everywhere, fist fight in the parking lot...I could go on. I pull up and hover just outside the bobbers. Not a line moves. Not even worth it. I'm thinking that if I start shooting bobbers with my 45 it might clear the way, but I reserve that for pirates. I'm going back alone one more time with some stinkin ass chicken livers, cause I want a picture of a fat albino cat. Other than that you were right MattyK...you can keep that cesspool. _________________ Dave..... I can be a pain in the bass.

Yeap, I saw a guy "trolling" a worm 1-1/2 feet underneath a bobber floating behind his boat yesterday at Batterson in about eight feet of water. That rig must be irresistable to almost nothing. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Truer words have never been spoken. It seems like every time I fish there, it's TOTALLY fished out. I will say this though: They stock it HEAVILY with Bullhead and Channel Cats which I've always wanted to fish for over there. _________________ Going for that trophy fish! |

Check your PM Matt. I'll go back some time for cats if I'm loaded up with the right stink bait. Those albinos are impressive looking. Lets hook up sometime. _________________ Dave..... I can be a pain in the bass. |
