Last year I lost an uncle who was brave and played a role in the Vietnam.
He was a ground troop who led 3 others into a small cabin to free 2 US troops who were prisoners and being held hostage. Right as my uncle and the rest of the troops got the prisoners out of the cabin, enemies started to fire. My uncle and the others fired back. My uncle got shot in the back of the foot and leg but kept on running while firing back.
He was rewarded with the Purple Heart and Silver Star. |
