Well i get a call friday nite at 10or so from an old friend in mass,it seems as if he was blown off by his current parter ( i can relate) so he need someone to fish with today.
I met him at the launch this morning. the catch to this tournament was that each man was allowed 4 hours on the front of the boat and was allowed 5 fish,so it was not a team but a "pro am style" event but you fished with someone you know already, plus they set up boundaries,no further north than 291 bridge and no further south than aragoni bridge.
Started in some areas my buddy liked and found a few fish, then at 11am i gotr the front and what a fun time we had,in two hours we caught and culled 20 keepers between us.His bag was 10plus and mine was 11plus,...we where on our way in to weight in and i decided to hit a spot i always say i should stop on in rocky hill...well what do ya know i pull up and first cast on a small jig i whack a 3.55lm.Tha was the fish that won it for me,i ended up with 12.90 lbs for first and my buddy was third with 11.03. Lunker was a smallie 3.90. Most fish were caught on outgoing tide on main river grass beds. _________________ I love rippin on the river!
