was in the neighborhood and got a couple of hours free (before everyone else got up)... so rather than fishing mamansco, i thought i would be adventurous and try something new.

fished 6:30-8:30am and picked up 11 lmb. a couple of okay ones and the rest were small. all on senkos all over the place. was looking for some deeper water for some bigger fish but could not find anything.

are there bigger fish in this pond?
what's with 1/2 of the lake being private?

Nice job getting into some bass. Huh? How can half the lake be private??

there's an island in the pond that makes 2 narrower pathways. on the shores of each pathway there are very nice white signs that say you can't go beyond this point.

i couldn't tell if there were deeper spots out there but noticed a dam and the steeper terrain...i suspect there is...bet that's were all the big bass are!!!

I fish there early in the season and again late in the season. I've caught bass in there to 6 1/2lbs. Although it is overrun with runts.
I saw those signs early in the spring. Nobody ever stopped me.
A lady who lives on the pond told me. By the launch it is State property and past the island it is town property. I never heard of anything like this before.
I know that Ridgefield has an ordenance for no gas motor's on any of their lakes and ponds. That also means no gas augers during the ice season.
