After Bunnells Pond, I went over to Glenwood Park along the Pequonnock to try for more crappie, rock bass, and white perch.
Did lose a dinky white with a 7cm yellow perch Original Floater.
Later I started to jig with the maribu and landed 3 crappie and 2 rock bass. 1 crappie was a keeper while the other 2 were no bigger than 3". The 2 rock bass were baitfish.
Hit the road just after 8pm. |

Michael are there any trout down there? I caught several rock bass last night while going for trout up the other end where the river runs into the pond. |

I don't know if any trout have made it down to Glenwood Park. The fish you find along Glenwood Park and the Wonderland of Ice are all run offs from Bunnells Pond. Glenwood Park is also a tidal freshwater area that gets runs of white perch and stripers.
I have heard that the state used to stock a few trout along the Wonderland of Ice but no longer do. I have caught trout in those 2 stretches which I'm sure came from Bunnells Pond. |
